The Art of Film: Creating the Worlds of Bond, Aliens, Batman and Many More
Terry Ackland-Snow lifts the lid on his extraordinary career, from being held hostage by a wannabe film crew in Jamaica to forgetting to add doors to the Batmobile. It is an insight into a lifetime of working in the film industry, mixing the amusing anecdotes with revelations about just how the magic in these movies was created.

Terry has worked on film sets since he was 18 and has been the Chair of the British Film Designers Guild, as well as an adjudicator for the BAFTAs.  His roles have included Art Director, Supervising Art Director & finally Production Designer   Since retiring in 2001, Terry has turned his hand to teaching, setting up Film Design International at Pinewood Studios to share his expert knowledge with the next generation of film designers. We’re delighted to welcome Terry as our very special guest, having worked on some of the biggest films over the last 60 years including titles such as The Pink Panther, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Superman 2, Labyrinth, Aliens, James Bond and Batman! We cannot wait for Terry to share his memorable moments over an incredible career and show us some of the fascinating impressions he’s left on us all through his art and creation.
